Some 50-odd days ago, last season fizzled out at the new Wemberlee with United unable to turn up in any way as an attacking force. Our dogged, no-nonsense defending, which had served us so well all season remained, although it was, to say the least, very last-ditch at times.

With the launch of the new TheBladesOnline website in partnership with Flashing Blade, we will be offering an alternative look at all things Sheffield United.

The match reports will be a supporter's eye-view of the game, and will not try to rival the journalistic prowess of the professionals; rather we will try to offer more of a fan's experience of watching the Blades.
